Companies today are looking to create a diverse workforce not to have the best staff, but also the right mix of cultures as companies expand globally. Diversity is a collection of many attributes that a person, group or culture has, and how they interact together offering these individuals strength to grow a companyââ¬â¢s business. As companies grow globally they need to pay special attention to how they market their business, offer their services in different parts of the world and having a diverse workforce helps meet those demands and achieve a competitive edge over its competitors. Even though there are legal conditions that assist in making sure the workforce is treated fairly and the hiring of individuals is taken into account it is important to ensure your workforce has a different make up of staff. The globalization of companies drive the need for this and what is ethically fine to perform business in one country, can be totally different in another. I give a personal example from many years ago, working on night shift supporting our Middle East customers, whenever we had to call the countries for vendor support, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, UAE, or other Middle East countries, the support person would not speak to any of our female staff. Therefore making sure we had a diverse, male and female staff covering at all times. This helped in supporting our service based in these areas and over time as the countries became westernized, the issues are less evident today in having females engage effectively with staff in the Mid dle East. The Stigma Of Mental Illness - 984 Words
So how do we eliminate the stigma on mental illness that has been shaped and formed fo1r centuries? Now that we know the role mental health plays in our society and how it affects people who suffer from it. We must find a way to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with this term. I propose the first step to solving this issue is through the media education and information. The media, from new to movies, plays a crucial role in shaping the minds of young people and even adults. Media has probably been one the most influential tools is creating the stigma and so maybe we can use the same tools to undo the stigmatization. The media often displays mental illness unfavorably because the news always broadcasts violent individual with an extreme case of the disorder as a representation of every one in the mentally ill community. Even in movies and crime TV shows, the person will the mental illness is cast as an antagonist a few example of this are Batman and possibly every singl e episode in the show Criminal Minds. I am also blessed with great number of influential people in my life since the time Ive started my journey from the play school. My friends who have let me be myself to the mentors, teachers, guardians who have helped me to make most of myself. Throughout the life, there is only one person who has always been in my life. It took around 21 years to realize about the extraordinary influence created by my mother in my life. My mother is the only person whose impact has changed my life in actual means. She made me a good person. My mother possesses all those good qualities and values that are necessary for being supportive, spiritual and stronger. All these qualities are the description of my mothers personality. I havent seen the person who is stronger like my mother in my whole life. Discussion and Critiques An adult plays a significant role in the life of a young person. They use their knowledge, abilities and skills in nurturing the youngsters in a positive direction. They are always concerned about development of the young people. Their influence for the learning and the acquisition of skills is always positive. One way of discovering interest of the youths is to spend time with them. By taking the advantage of such opportunity, youth can fit their time in discovering interest and skills that would be most suitable to their nature and thinking. The presence of a role model in the life of a person helps him in discovering the inherent leadership qualities. The function of a role model extends the opportunities by providing support and encouragement. They observe about prevailing opportunity, grab it and direct the information about it. With such kind of advocacy of the personality, youngsters will be blessed with opportunities that help them in discovering the ability of leadership. My mother has also introduced me with different opportunities when I was in the stage where I have started to experience elementary level of leadership. The role of my mother in providing the motivation has evolved from the fundamental level of support to the level of advancement with my stages of growth in life. It is the true quality and natural evolution of leader. The learning of my mother has also taken pace with my maturity. This is being the only reason for the success of my life. I have started taking interest in my field work and achieved the level of successes at different platforms. The thing that I like the most in my mothers nature is that she never complained about her life and keeps on working without any tiredness. Whenever she gets free from her work, her preference is to spend time with the family. I have learned from my mother that if we work hard, we will get whatever we want. She usually says that Without hard work, you wont be able to achieve whatever you expect from your life. I have found that many people often complain about small things but my mother has made her contribution without any compensation. Whenever I need to make decision, I always take advice of my mother as I know that she has a wisdom and experience. She always tells me truth even if things are not looking prettier. She presents her opinion with truth and without any judgment. My Mom means a lot to me I always believe in the famous quote of George Washington: My mother is the beautiful women that I have ever seen in my life. She is the only character who is responsible for my success. I wont be able to achieve any such target without intellectual, moral and physical education that I have received from my mother. The respect and the pride that I have earned in my life are all due to mothers sacrifice and motivation. I have never heard my mother making any rude comment or abusing anyone for their wrong acts. She had always taught us to make smart decisions so that we will never feel ashamed in front of others. She had put all our needs on priority before her. This shows her care and concern for others. My mothers lessons provide compassion in my life. Often, I have found that the youth complains that they were facing disappointments or living in a low-income environment were actually lacking for a true role model. Instead, these people and young adults in such situations idolize professional athletes, musicians and entertainers as their role model. Neither I am de-integrating the contributions made by such people in the community nor I am disrespecting their participation in the society. But an inspirational and motivational personality is always smart, kind, brave and thoughtful. Fortunately, I was blessed by a truly one of a kind personality in my own home and in my life. Conclusion At the end of the report, I would like to conclude that if we observe the world there are some people who play an inspirational role in ones life. My mom has taught me a lot of things that has helped me in facing the challenges. I am really thankful to her for inspiring me in a positive manner and making me reach where I am today.

The reason the author states that the man has no imagination is because he doesnt use his brain to do things. He just does them hoping they will work the way he thinks they will, his way. The story is one of the main aspects. Now it starts out like this. The man is traveling part of the Yukon Territory, He is looking for a way to get out logs in the stpring from the islands in the Yukon, but the weather is very harsh and he has trouble doing his job. The man later begins to freeze to death, and he tries to make a fire but he doesnt and he then at the end tries to fall asleep and die. The plot is mainly exactly the story made into an easier way to read. The plot goes like this: 1. He beings journey, 2. He was running low on food, 3. He tries to run around a tree to raise his body tempture, 4. Tries to kill and eat dog, 5. Then at the end he tries to fall asleep and die because he cant stand the cold weather. The setting is taken place in The Yukon Territory, In Northwest Canada. Its winter and the tempture is 75degrees below zero. Now the setting is made to give you a picture of the scene, can you picture a cold, freezing place, with dead trees, and snow everywhere, well thats the kind of picture I get when I think of the setting. The suspense builds when he tries to build a fire. The reader(s) want to know if he succeds in making the fire or not. Now this is what happens, he builds a fire right under a tree, so the snow just keeps falling on the fire when it starts. So he fails. Then another example of suspense is when he thinks of killing and eating the dog, will he do it to survive? , What will happen? , These are some questins asked. Well he cant kill the dog mainly because the mans hands are freezing and he cant move them. The Foreshadowing is when the author gave you a clue about the storys future. An example of the was when he tries to build the fire and the snow from the top of the tree keeps fallingon it, you get a picture that hes not going to make it out alive.
